Machine Customisation Engineer

Location: Avonmouth

Salary: £32,000 - £36,500

Contract: Full time

My client, a large heavy plant company, Are looking for a qualified and experienced engineer to join their Machine Customisation team in their dedicated workshop team.

Reporting to the Workshop Manager, This role involves preparing new machines for Customer delivery, ensuring that all the work is completed accurately and to the agreed deadline.

The main responsibilities of the Machine Customisation Engineer will include;

Carry out repairs as and when found, replacing parts where necessary
Complete pre-delivery inspection
Assemble machines delivered in kit form
Carry out customisation of new machines to Manufacturer’s specifications
Spray paint machines and/or parts to Manufacturer’s specifications
Troubleshoot and fault find any defects on machines resolving issues or escalating where requiredThe successful Machine Customisation Engineer will have;

Knowledge of Auto-electrics
Working knowledge of lathes, angle grinders and pillar drills
Good attention to detail
Knowledge of manual handling
Experience with Welding and oxy-acetylene equipmentThe client is prepared to offer the Machine Customisation Engineer;
