Service Care Finance are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in Central London for an Assistant Finance Manager on a temporary basis.

Main Responsibilities:

To co-ordinate the Budget Monitoring report for services within the remit of this role by setting up spreadsheets and tables to enhance financial monitoring and reporting and co-ordinating responses on forecasts and performance statistics by agreed deadlines.
Responsible for the provision of appropriate, accurate and timely budgetary control information to budget holders, including salaries monitoring and forecasting. Providing this service in accordance with agreed standards and targets.
Undertaking work on key financial processes including budget setting, in-year monitoring and closing the accounts.
To work with budget holders under the direction of a Business Partner to provide financial support and advice.

Ideal Candidate

CCAB/AAT Qualified or equivalent experience
Experience in Local Government finance within closure of accounts/year-end
Experience of managing junior members in a financial environment is desirable
