Procurement Heads’ Industrial practice is working on a retained campaign with a FTSE 100 global products and technologies company.  They lead the market in wound care, ostomy, care, continence care and infusion care.

Their products provide a range of clinical and economic benefits including infection prevention, protection of at-risk skin, improved patient outcomes and reduced total cost of care.
  
This role is within the indirect procurement team focusing specifically on software and service contracts within the Global IT Category.
  
You will be responsible for the long-term strategic plans for the category that aligns with current and future needs.  You must have a passion for Procurement, contributing to the success of the team and managing stakeholder engagement to ensure that Procurement is seen as a go-to function for support within the business.
  
As Category Manager your key responsibilities will be to:

Develop a fully integrated and business-aligned Category Strategy engaging with key stakeholders
Manage critical relationships to ensure that Category Strategies are aligned and that the supply base is capable of supporting these.
Accountable for delivering the contracts, agreements, and sourcing strategies for the supply of materials/products and services.
Accountable for the Source to Contract strategy
Responsible for managing a portfolio of suppliers to ensure contracted expectations continue to be improved throughout. Experience and qualifications:

Strategic Procurement/Sourcing environment experience with MCIPS
Understand Category Management principles with the ability to define and deliver a strategy.
Autonomous self-starter
The ability to work outside of their comfort zone. Benefits of the role include:
