Are you a Senior Project Manager with experience on NEC projects? Do you want to be a part of something that will help to forge your career and lead to wonderful opportunities?

I’m looking for a Senior Construction Manager to lead a project team and make sure our client's goals are achieved. You'll work towards meeting the needs of all customers and building strong relationships with staff, clients, and consultants.

Responsible for ensuring the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the desired quality.

Your Role:

* Establish project objectives and ensure the project is delivered on time, within budget.

* Monitor financial status and costs, ensuring an optimum return.

* Procure supplies from approved sources

* Manage team members, review performance and assist in their development

* Communicate confidently with 3rd parties, and manage stakeholder and client expectations.

* Advise Senior management and other departments of the Company’s contractual rights, remedies, and obligations under the Contract.

* Foster continuous improvement and communicate outcomes to Management.

* Encourage staff and contribute to staff development activities on site.

* Prepare budgets and site objectives in conjunction with the site management team.

* Monitor all cost expenditures; and in conjunction with the site management, implement cost control measures.

* Maintain regular communication with the Head of Construction, Commercial, Site and Head of office teams.

* Help to develop supply chain relationships

* Organise the monitoring and recording of all variations both client and subcontractors.

About you:

Minimum HNC or equivalent in a construction-related subject

Membership of a professional body (e.g., CIOB, RICS etc)

Membership in the CSCS scheme

5-day SMSTS – CITB

1st Aid at Work

A good understanding of construction methods and technology including materials.

A proven proactive knowledge of the management of health, safety and environment

Understanding of contract documentation and reporting and how best to protect us commercially

Proven track record of career progression through engineering, trade, or construction roles in the construction industry

Be fully compliant in planning techniques and the use of relevant software.

Fully understand and lead customer management

Have a sound understanding of risk management and how it is managed.

Have a sound knowledge of the design and build process.

Demonstrate the capability of ‘multi-tasking’.

Your Experience:

NEC and JCT contracts

Procurement practices and forms of main and subcontract

Cost/value process and reporting

Proven experience as a construction project manager

In-depth understanding of construction procedures and material and project management principles

Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards

Familiarity with construction/project management software and Office Packages.

Outstanding communication and negotiation skills

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

A team player with leadership abilities

BSc/BA in engineering, building science, or a relevant field

PMP, APM, or equivalent certification will be an advantage.
