Spencer Clarke Group are currently working alongside a Top 20 Accountancy Firm who are now recruiting for someone to join their team as an Accounts Assistant mainly focusing on Bookkeeping.

For this role, you will need to have at least 2 years minimum previous experience working within an Accountancy Practice to be able to perform the below duties:

Responsible for Bookkeeping and meeting necessary deadlines
Completing Bookkeeping to trial balance ready for Accounts production
Reporting to Senior Staff in the office
Preparation of client payment runs
Data entry & processing
Purchase ledger and Sales Ledger management and reconciliations
Bank reconciliations
Preparation of VAT returns
Management reporting
CIS returns, submissions, and queries
Entering journals for year-end and wages
Liaising with HMRC
Having regular communication with clients, to include occasional visits to client premises
Resolving client queries
Helping and assisting in training / mentoring junior staff in the firm
Any ad hoc duties that would be requested
For this role, you will need to have:

Accounts experience
Very good knowledge of using Accountancy softwares such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, HubDoc and other cloud based software
You will need to be either AAT L3/L4 or qualified by experience
