Production Engineer

* Monday to Friday days, 37 hours per week

* Up to £36,000k dep on experience (+ overtime)

Have you worked as a Production Engineer within a precision engineering environment, or you are looking for a step up from shop floor machining and have excellent programming skills?

The objective of the role is to streamline production processes.

The Job

* Be a key member of the engineering team

* Ensure all pre-production activities are carried out successfully i.e. methods of manufacturing

* Estimating manufacturing times

* Supporting sales by creating BOMs using MRP systems

* Producing quotation, processing orders, ordering materials/subcontractors

* Seeing orders through to finish.

* Able to develop good close customer relationships

About You

* Ideally Qualified HNC/HND in mechanical engineering

* Manufacturing understanding in Turning, and Milling.

* Previously worked for a manufacturing business producing components of tight tolerances

* A good understanding of MRP systems and CAD/Modelling packages

* Good understanding of technical manufacturing drawings

* Ideally experienced in manufacturing of white metal bearings (not critical)

Hours of work Monday to Thursday – 7.45am – 5.00pm - 45-minute dinner break

Friday – 7.45am – 10.45pm
