GUERNSEY RELOCATION OPPORTUNITY FOR A NEBOSH QUALIFIED FOR A HEALTH & SAFETY FOCUSSED COMPLIANCE ROLE WITH A BACKGROUND IN AN INDUSTRIAL OR PRODUCTION ENVIRONMENT

TITLE: SHEQ Officer / Compliance Advisor - Health & Safety

SALARY: Negotiable Circa £60-75,000

LOCATION: Guernsey

PREVIOUS ROLES MAY HAVE BEEN: Health & Safety Coordinator, QHSE / HSEQ Advisor, Compliance Officer, SHEQ Coordinator, Health & Safety Advisor, Health & Safety Manager, SHEQ Manager, Compliance Manager

ROLE: SHEQ Officer / Compliance Advisor - Health & Safety

You will be responsible for Health and Safety, Environmental and Quality management across a handful of closely situated sites

You will innovate and work to drive performance vs relevant KPI’s e.g. improving near miss reporting, reducing LTA’s and RIDDOR’s and make sure regular audits are in place

You will deal with environmental permitting and quality management systems

EXPERIENCE: SHEQ Officer / Compliance Advisor - Health & Safety

You will be experience Health and Safety Officer ideally with some grounding in Environmental compliance and permitting and Quality management systems

You will ideally have a background in a heavy / industrial production environment. Examples of ideal backgrounds would include, Quarrying & Aggregates, Cement Kiln, Construction, Concrete Block Production, Agriculture, Anaerobic Digestion, Building Products Manufacturing, Mining, Chemical Production, Waste Management, Metal Recycling, Foundry, Steel Works etc.

You will be a self-motivated and be happy in a hands on role which will require being outdoors

You will have a NEBOSH General Certificate or higher

Any affiliations that would be desirable include TechIOSH, GradIOSH, CMIOSH, IEMA as would any professional certification such as an MBA

Experience with one of some of these ideal: ISO 9001, (phone number removed) & 45001

You will have excellent IT skills
