Production Operative needed

Sure Staffing UK Ltd are looking to recruit production operative, for our client based in Scunthorpe. Our client is a well-established business within the timber manufacturing industry. Great people looking to welcome a new team member and offer a permanent contract after 3 months. There is an opportunity for enthusiastic candidates to take on additional responsibilities and look at future progression.

On the job training will be given.

Responsibilities and Duties of a Production Operative

Handle large and small timber
Quality check products
Operate and feed timber through a variety of machines
Use hand powered tools to press, bend and secure metal bands onto timber
Prepare loads for side loader
Be multi-skilled and work across all lines
Work as part of a team with clear communication
Wear correct PPE and follow health and safety procedures
Experience of working within manufacturing or timber industry is preferred

Working Hours for the Production Operative role

Monday-Friday 47.5 hours a week

Shift times for Production Operative are:

Monday-Thursday 6am-4pm, Friday 6am-1:30pm
Overtime is available on a Friday and Saturday

Pay Rates for Production Operative:

£10/ hour (Pay increase after 3 months and 6 months)
Overtime After 48 hours
OT - £15 (Increases in line with pay rate)
