The Client
Our Client are a Nationwide Facilities & Property Management Company who provide domestic & building maintenance solutions across the Country. They are looking to recruit a reliable and experienced Quantity Surveyor for their Retrofit Contract working across the West Midlands.

The Role
Reporting to the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be required to provide effective cost management and cost control for their Retrofit schemes consisting of energy efficient installations to domestic properties.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Preparing detailed breakdown of costs for each stage of works
Compiling sub-contract orders and their subsequent issuing to Contractors
Carrying out cost and value reconciliation on all items
Agree costings for any ad hoc works and submit cost proposals
Overseeing spend on in-house and sub-contract labour and material procurement
Preparing Cost Value Comparison (Profit & Loss) notes
Attend specification meetings to confirm site specific specification requirements.
Attend Client meetings.
Place and issue sub-contract orders in accordance with Group Policy and Commercial Best Practice to budget within programme requirements.
Attend and minute all sub-contract order adjudication meetings.
Liaise with all Departments on sub-contractors' performance and compliance.

Qualifications & Experience:
HND/HNC in Surveying or equivalent
Must have experience of working on Social Housing Refurbishment or Planned Maintenance contracts at QS level.
Experience of Retrofit schemes would be an advantage but not essential
