Head of Inbound Development

Business Requirement

A minimum of three year’s service with your current employer at least in a regional sales manager role

A total of five years minimum experience in forwarding sales

Legally authorised to work in the UK


Ability to just get us as a business from first impression

Passionate about product knowledge

Natural flair for thinking on your feet

Requirement & Purpose

The Head of Inbound Development is responsible for the growth of our “Supply Chain Product” in relation to Inbound Ocean and Air products with no limitations on geographical region (UK coverage)

You will be responsible for both achieving and exceeding sales quotas and targets in line with business expectations.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

Responsible for identifying new business opportunities through engagement with prospective clients who have never traded with Warrant Group.

Meet and exceed specific volume and profit stream requirements as set out by Managing Director

Target business that fits our business model – understand the client

Responsible for identifying market trends to the Managing Director

Responsible for assisting and facilitating in the preparation of tenders

Responsible for undertaking SWAT analysis on product development to remove barriers and secure new business

Responsible for providing and tracking weekly and monthly department performance metrics to the Managing Director

Responsible for reporting on quotation metrics per week/month

Responsible for understanding pricing and margin targets

Considered main presenter within the business

Manage Warrant CRM software provider

Manage Warrant quotation software provider

Manage appointment targets for yourself and your team

Ensure an effective and timely response to all new business sales leads

Assist your team and make a difference so they can achieve company targets

Work on marketing initiatives with the Managing Director

You will be responsible for two development managers, but we aspire to grow this team

You will oversee their activity, track, and manage accordingly

Promote good productivity strategies across the department

Develop your team’s core skills through ongoing training and mentorship on product and industry knowledge

No actual on-boarding requirement

No Account Management

This is a hybrid role, so you can be based anywhere in the UK
