Aecus Recruitment are currently searching for experienced fabricator welders for our Kidderminster based client. We are currently seeking a Welder/Fabricator with experience in welding activities on both plate (MS/SS) and structural steelwork to BS 287 standards. The successful candidate will have experience working with materials ranging from 3mm to 40mm thickness. The work will be based in Kidderminster but will also require working away on projects up to a week long. The work will predominately MIG with some MMA.

Responsibilities:

Undertake welding activities on both plate (MS/SS) and structural steelwork to BS 287 standards
Work in an accredited workshop environment to ISO 9001 & 1090 standards
Understand and work from bespoke drawings
Work collaboratively with other members of the team to ensure the highest standards of quality and compliance are achieved
Maintain equipment and work areas to ensure a safe and clean environment
Requirements:

Proven experience in welding activities on both plate (MS/SS) and structural steelwork to BS 287 standards
Ability to work with materials ranging from 3mm to 40mm thickness
Knowledge and experience of fabrication is beneficial but not essential
Ability to understand and work from bespoke drawings
Commitment, ownership, pride, and a can-do attitude are essential
The basic hours for this position consist of a 40-hour week, with overtime paid and available as required. Although having coded welding ability is preferred, training and testing will be supported for the right candidate. There are regular requirements to undertake site activities working on engineering/construction sites away from home within the UK ranging from 1 day to 2 week periods.

Pay will be skill dependant and disclosed following a weld test. Pay range is £12.86-15.18 with O/T paid at a premium along with work away allowance.
