Sub Agent

Duration: 12 months contract 

Located in Maidstone, Kent 

Inside of IR35

RESPONSIBILTIES:

Check drawings and quantities
Schedule selected materials for ordering from the procurement department
Day to day management of a section of works including the supervision and monitoring of the site team and supply chain
Manage multiple packages of work in conjunction with the commercial team taking full ownership of the costs for section of work assigned
Ensure Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS), Permit to Work systems, site inductions and safety briefings are correctly carried out
Plan the work and efficiently organise site operations in order to meet an agreed programme of deadlines
Liaise with any consultants and sub-contracts engaged in the project as necessary
Ensure Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to
Ensure quality records necessary to meet quality requirements are maintained
Resolve any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise
Undertake the testing and calibration of instruments used
Liaise with other function/departmental managers
Attend external meetings as required with clients and stakeholders, building effective relationships
Report to the Project Manager on progress and performance
Introduce improvements and innovation where appropriate to areas of responsibility
Demonstrable experience on design and build projects
Liaising at an appropriate level with clients, stakeholders and other technical disciplines to deliver innovative, value-for-money designs and solutions within time and cost constraints 
REQUIREMENTS:

Previous experience on highways based projects
Previously managed site teams & packages of work
Ensure compliance with designs
Relevant industry qualification (HND/HNC/BEng or equivalent)
Able to produce and explain accurate plans and drawings
Previously worked main contractor experience
Have a CSCS qualification specific to the works will be undertaking
Health and Safety Compliance
Good team-working skills, particularly in relation to the delivery of multi-disciplinary projects
Good communication skills at all levels
