Based in our Telford office, you will work closely with both the Category and Sustainability Manager and Marketing Communications Manager to develop strategies to help drive our key brands and sustainability credentials to the commercial teams and our customers alike.

You will be responsible for the management of new product development, product lifecycle management, and product-related customer communications. Responsibilities also include tender management, Phocas training, price checker updates, and general ad hoc reporting.

What's involved in this Category Manager role?

To be the key contact for compiling and submitting tenders, keeping regular updates, and liaising with contacts to ensure accurate submissions of necessary requirements.
To review and upkeep the price checker to reflect latest costs and specs and circulate key changes to the commercial teams.
To manage key marketing projects from concept to delivery, developing ideas and strategies to deliver specific projects.
To review existing product performance and new product development opportunities, managing the communication process with internal functions, commercial teams, and customers.
To manage all customer communications including the upkeep and management of the master customer contact database.

Essential skills

Previous experience as a Category Manager or in a similar role.
Analytical with a good level of Microsoft Excel.
Confident, articulate, and be able to communicate effectively at all levels.

Desirable skills

Degree educated - preferably with a business and/or marketing focus.
Experience with Adobe design packages, particularly Photoshop.
Tender management experience.
