As an IT Support Technician Apprentice, you will be working with both internal teams and external clients, providing excellent customer service and escalating unresolved customer issues to your Team Leader. You will be part of a team where you will learn everything about IT support and will be guided by your mentor, but also given the independence you need to be able to progress.  An opportunity will be offered for the successful candidate upon completion of their apprenticeship for progression within the business. 

Training to be provided:

As an IT Support Apprentice, you will be studying towards a level three ICT Support Technician apprenticeship. This apprenticeship is 22 months in length and will involve ongoing onsite training and mentoring from the AGL team combined with 25 days of off the job training at the PETA training centre in Cosham.

About the role:

What will my new role involve?
Joining the team as an IT support technician apprentice, you will learn:
How to escalate issues where appropriate
Being the first point of contact for all incidents/requests via email and phone calls
Installation/Maintenance/Configuration of a variety of Infrastructure, Networking and Telephony Equipment
Updating IT records and documentation
How to perform and maintain daily system checksEssential skills:

To be considered for this role you must have:
English and Maths GCSE (Grade C/4 or above)
Knowledge of PC and Laptop hardware, software and basic network troubleshooting
A passion for IT
Good communication skills at all levels
Ability of problem solving in a logical way
Using your initiative
Ability to prioritise your workload and manage time effectively 
A full UK driving license is required due to client site visitsDesirable skills:

Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems
Basic understanding of Network Concepts
Basic understanding of Cloud Technology such as Microsoft 365 & Azure
Willingness to actively learn and progress
Be a dynamic team player
BTEC L3 in IT or equivalent will be beneficialAbout The Company
