Day to Day responsibilities include:
* Efficiently managing the CNC production resources in keeping with the manufacturing facility requirements, ensuring the care and development of production employees
* Delivering manufacturing goals and objectives
* Control of manufacturing resources to achieve maximum productivity and material utilization within the requirements of the production schedule
* Management of manufacturing department employees to optimize their contribution to the overall manufacturing unit with particular emphasis on efficient individual and team working through adequate communication and training
* Ensure strict compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures with particular reference to health, safety and quality
* Ensure that the means of production are available e.g., by timely request of raw materials, equipment, consumable and services from relevant departments
* Communicate effectively with relevant internal departments e.g., HSE, Quality, Engineering, etc to ensure that production is not unduly delayed
* Ensure the proper operation of Permali disciplinary procedure for the employees under the manager’s control
* Ensure that the housekeeping in the areas under the managers controls is maintained to the highest standard
* Participate in developing Permali activities e.g. Working practices, equipment specifications, improvements in productivity and quality
* Providing direction as well as training to employees to accomplish company goals and objectives
* Conducting employee performance reviews and managing employee performance
* Production of defect free product that meets with customer specifications
* Ensuring that the plant is adequately resourced to expedite forecast workloads in a timely fashion within the confines of agreed annual budgets
* Leading change and integrating best practice
* Fulfilling all relevant Operations duties and driving continuous improvement in collaboration with the Process Improvement Manager
* Carrying out any other reasonable duties that may be requested from time to time

Education & Training:
* Must have previous experience in a similar Manufacturing role
* Proven track record within a fast pace, demanding manufacturing environment
Personal Attributes:
* Able to work as a member of a team, but also capable of working alone to tight deadlines
* Good organisational and time management skills, and able to maintain high standards
* Building strong internal and external customer relationships
* Leading change initiatives and projects with a view to continual improvement
* Building and developing winning teams
* High standard of written English and good communication skills, and strong presentation and report-writing skills
