As an HV Electrical Estimator you will engage with clients to provide competitive cost solutions on a variety of HV electrical systems on medium to large scale projects (Apply online only)kv) in utilities, renewables, industry, pharmaceutical and critical data centres. Occasional trips out to clients to view projects.

Must have experience with 132kv – 400kv systems and ideally some knowledge around substations, date centres or battery systems.

Ideally seeking an experienced and formally qualified electrical engineer who has developed their skills and experience into estimating.

Office based in Glasgow 

Responsibilities of Electrical Estimator

Liaise with external suppliers.
Monitor Tender vs Construction Cost Analysis
Inform clients and senior management of any changing project values / issues that may affect project delivery/financial performance.
Produce and present regular reports and updates.
Liaise with sales dept and key tendering members re tender submissions.
Communicate with senior management and support / mentor junior team members.

Required experience of Electrical Estimator

Technical background within the electrical contracting sector
Good understanding and knowledge of installation of HV Electrical equipment
The ability to accurately cost the construction and asset replacement projects on a variety of HV systems.
Commercial awareness and ability to provide client requested breakdowns and tender analysis.
An ability to provide re-engineering suggestions within a designated scope of works to provide potential submission advantages.
Experienced with tender status monitoring and networking
