Highways Project Manager - New Role 

Our client has major highways schemes in Area 10 and we need a  Project Manager to run schemes from start to finish, will be based in Oldham. The schemes range from £1m - £3m and encompass local A roads to major highways schemes, and will include project planning, client liaison, management of budgets and pushing the schemes forward.  

A strong background in highways contracting is ideal, as is working with National Highways/Highways England and knowing their processes. An element of Planning will be required for planning and programming upcoming works, so anyone with this experience would be desirable. 

The successful candidate will be a team player, strong on management of the site team and managing commercials, all project planning and paperwork along with working closely with the site managers. 

The Project Manager role will include:

Working from the office and around Area 10

Project Management of the sites, working with the management team, commercial team and subcontractors

Leadership on Health and Safety, quality and CDM regulations

Management of Site Managers and leaders on site

Chairing site meetings and submitting progress reports

Responsibility for all site activities 

The ideal Project Manager candidate will have:

CSCS Card 

SMSTS

National Highways Passport

Safety Critical Medical

Extensive experience within construction projects

Leadership qualities and strong project management experience

A positive attitude towards work

A willingness to travel and work away
