We are a unique opportunity for a well renowned manufacturing company located in the S60 area of Rotherham. Our client is the sole UK manufacturer for a number of their products making it a well renowned manufacturer within their field. They offer a range of mass production and bespoke services.

We are recruiting for an experienced Deputy Furnace Manager on a full time permanent basis. You will have overall responsibility of assisting the Furnace and Mixing Managers while actively managing colleagues with a view of potential progression. Your responsibilities will include;

Support the Furnace and Mixing Shop Manager.
To take responsibility in the Managers absence.
Maintaining stock of raw materials - including ordering and receipting.
Managing pre-mix and batch recipes - supervising changes if required.
Working closely with Maintenance and Engineering Departments to ensure breakdowns are prioritised.
Responsibility of making sure planned work is completed on time in full.
Reviewing ways to reduce waste in all areas.
Adhering to all health and safety guidelines.

The ideal Deputy Furnace Manager will ideally have a background in Foundry Management & Glass Manufacturing. Alongside this you will ideally have;

NEBOSH General Certificate
Engineering or Science qualification
Glass Manufacturing experience

This would suit someone who has recently been working as a Mixing Shop Manager or Heat treatment Manager within a glass management industry.
