Direct Marketing is a key part of the fundraising strategy at the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association and has seen steady growth over recent years. We are looking for a Direct Marketing Manager to join the team on a Fixed Term Contract until August 2024.

Our Direct Marketing Team is responsible for recruiting new supporters, building relationships, and developing them to maximise lifetime value, predominantly by generating cash donations and regular gifts.

As the Direct Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the delivery of cash and regular giving income through direct marketing recruitment and retention activities such as mailings, inserts, the 'Cure Finders' product, newsletters, and raffles.

Within this exciting and diverse role, you will generate campaigns to recruit and retain supporters from concept through to delivery, including planning, researching, problem solving, proof reading, designing, database management and segmentation. You will work closely with research, care, campaigning, and communications teams, sourcing information to produce engaging appeals, newsletters, and other information for supporters as appropriate.

What are we looking for?

A pro-active and creative individual with experience of project managing online and offline direct marketing campaigns from concept through to evaluation, preferably in the not-for-profit sector.

You will need to have good knowledge of direct marketing principles and demonstratable experience in developing good working relationships with key internal stakeholders and agencies/suppliers to create persuasive materials.

Demonstrable experience of using digital channels to support direct marketing activity such as email and social media.

Excellent communication, presentation and organisation skills are essential with the ability to effectively plan and manage multiple projects.

This role has 2 direct reports, line management experience is desirable.
