Payroll Professional

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire

Salary: £30k (Full-Time Equivalent) + Excellent Benefits

Job Type: Part Time, Full Time (3 days a week) basis.

We are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for an experienced payroll professional to join a leading independent accountancy practice in Yorkshire. Our client offers a wide range of accountancy, tax, and business services to a diverse client base throughout the North of England.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role
Demonstrate professionalism and confidence in client interactions.
Collaborate effectively within a team while also being self-motivated.
Manage a diverse client portfolio with efficiency.
Possess strong organisational skills and a diligent payroll methodology.
Exhibit a positive, friendly, and approachable demeanor with exceptional communication skills and a problem-solving mindset.

Duties:

Collaborate closely with the Tax Partner and Tax Manager on payroll-related projects.
Prepare and oversee timely and accurate weekly, fortnightly, monthly, quarterly, and year-end reports, conducting payroll reconciliations.
Generate monthly pension data and successfully submit it to various pension scheme providers.
Create BACS files for clients with fortnightly and monthly payrolls upon request.
Stay updated on current payroll legislation in accordance with HMRC guidelines, ensuring compliance and providing guidance to colleagues and clients.
Offer advanced technical advice and research support through telephone and email correspondence with clients.
Gather accurate information from clients to validate payroll data.
Coordinate with other departments for monitoring and reconciliation purposes.
Provide clients with technically accurate and supportive guidance tailored to their needs.
