Position Overview…

Our client is looking for a dynamic and well-versed Technical Network and Security Consultant heavily focused in the Palo Alto space and ideally holding PCNSE who can adapt to work with a range of clients in a consultative capacity and an IT Advisory in the Network & Security space. No two days are the same here. You will be a part of a team that is informing, defining and building solutions both for clients and managed services groups using the art of security platforms.

In this role, your mission is to deliver hands-on technical consultancy advice and leverage your technical domain knowledge (E.G. Network, Network Security, Data Centre, Cloud Wireless or Cyber Security)

Key Responsibilities…

Experience supporting a team and working in a collaborative manner.
You will be the SME and be confident in translating customer requirements to scope best practice services and solutions in line with financial and performance targets.
You'll be supporting pre-sales activities, including reviewing inbound statements of work (SOW's)
You will carry out solution deployments or consulting projects and manage the full life cycle from conception to completion.
Deliver industry advice and guide customers around identifying and minimising potential threats to assets and services they provide.
You will provide expertise around cyber security incidents and remediate a response.
Ensure controls implemented in solutions are operating as designed to mitigate identified risks.
Maintain awareness of current and possible future trends in the information security landscape and the impact on the policies and standards in the industry.
Take accountability for your own contribution to service delivery and project profitability, ensuring you meet your team's OKR targets (e.g. Projects delivered in budget, client satisfaction, billable utilisation, technical quality, timesheet submissions.
Mentor and supervise junior staff to improve their cyber security awareness.Essential Skills & Qualifications…

Palo Alto Certifications - PCSNE
CISCO SDA (Software defined networks) or ACI
Cisco ISE or Juniper, Palo Alto or Meraki Knowledge
Understanding of cyber security principles
Strong consulting background in Networking and Cybersecurity
Eligible for UK Security Clearance
Appreciation of Enterprise architectures (e.g. servers/networks/storage/backup/apps/databases).
Security technologies (firewalls/proxies/IDPS/DLP/UTM).
End-Point Protection and Response tools.
Border protection technologies.
Vulnerability scanning/Penetration testing/Web Application penetration testing.
Firewalls and intrusion detection/prevention tools
