Energy Resourcing are currently recruiting for a x2 Steelwork Engineer to join their Manchester project delivery team.

Our client are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join the Quality, Construction and Engineering teams to fulfil the role of Steelwork Engineer within the Quality, Engineering, Construction Teams on US2 Project a major capital investment project being undertaken on the site. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating Steelwork Fabrication, Coating, Loading, Shipping, Erection across the Project. They need to have previous experience as a Project Manager, General / Senior Superintendent and be capable of managing their time and workload efficiently. Good communication skills are essential as the role requires interaction with both internal and external stakeholders.

The Steelwork Engineer has prime responsibility for the oversight of Steelwork Fabrication, Erection activities undertaken in Fabrication Shops and on the work site and shall be responsible for:

Implementation of Company HSE Policy and Plan relating to the Project and in particular, Contractor compliance. Refer to Construction HSE Management plan.
Provide input to Planning, Strategy and Procedural Documents as requested by the Construction Manager.
Coordinate a team of Superintendents ensuring they understand and undertake their duties accordingly.
Attend Kick off Meetings with Contractors.
Attend Regular Progress meeting with Contractors.
Input into schedules as requested by Construction Planner.
Review of Project and Contractor Schedules and ensure coordination of works to achieve.
Review and verification of Progress Report prior to update by the Construction planner.
Review Change requests as required, review and monitor Contractor Pricing and assist Contracts Engineer in settlement.

IT literate.
Previous experience of working in a project delivery environment (desirable).
Previous experience as a Site Project Manager, General / Senior Superintendent.
Working Knowledge of Steelwork Quality Requirements
