Quality Manager

Salary: £40k-£52k

Overview of the role:

A local manufacturer are looking for a Quality Manager to manage QA and QC.

Quality Manager- Key Tasks/Duties:

Maintain and improve the quality management systems and keep on top of changing legislations.
Undertake internal audits regularly to ensure that the QMS is being used correctly.
Develop strategies and plans that ensure that the highest quality products are delivered to customers, minimizing complaints, scrappage and returns.
Use root cause analysis tools to eliminate the recurrence of issues.
Manage and support employees in the Quality Team to promote continuous improvement in all areas.

Quality Engineer- Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will come from the manufacturing industry as a Quality Manager, experience within the precision engineering industry would be beneficial. You will also have the following skills, qualifications, and experience:

Hold a recognised engineering qualification such as HNC, HND or BEng in an Engineering discipline.
A background in Mechanical Engineering is essential.
Knowledge and understanding of the requirements of ISO9001.
Confident in leading RCA investigations, implementing corrective and preventative actions and dealing with customer complaints.
Internal Auditor Qualification.
Must be able to understand and interpret engineering drawings.
Ideally have a Health and Safety qualification including IOSH Managing Safely
