UK and International Sales Manager

We have a vacancy on the sales team and are looking for a candidate with account management experience to cover a domestic and international area.

Responsible for the development and performance of all sales activities for assigned accounts. The designated area will include both domestic and international accounts. They will work consistently towards the achievement of maximum profitability and growth. Establishes plans and strategies to expand the customer base and develop new business.

The job is office based at Fulwood Preston with home working permitted at the discretion of Head of Sales.

The successful candidate will be expected to work Monday to Friday (8-5 with 4.30 finish Fri). Core hours as stated but additional to suit business demands are expected.  Lieu days will be given for any weekend days worked.

Role Requirements

Prior industry knowledge, particularly Fire, Commercial Vehicle and Spill Containment an advantage
Use of pivot tables, ability to extract information.
Role Responsibilities

The role involves regular planned sales visits to customers dealing with a variety of stakeholders, from a purchasing assistant right the way through to a managing director
Forming and building long term relationships with our customers is paramount to success in the role
Frequent travel throughout UK and international markets
The job will involve attending trade shows and exhibitions. It will also involve identifying and calling on potential new customers and introducing our new products to new markets and distributors
Manages all aspects of designated key accounts, building strong relationships with key players
Commercial approach to all work – maximizing profitability
New business development – looking for gaps in the various markets and new opportunities
Excellent negotiation skills
Ability to manage own workload
Regular communication with sales team members and other departments
Exhibition and trade show participation
Initiates and coordinates development of action plans to penetrate new markets and build existing ones with new and existing products
To establish and maintain the Jonesco brand
To present a good image of the products and the Company
To be aware of competitor activity – their strategy, pricing and weaknesses
To develop sound product and market knowledge
Budget preparation
Good presentation skills
