Position Details:

Role: School Caretaker
Location: S6, Sheffield
School Type: Primary School
Hours: Full-time, alternating shifts on a 2-week rota basis:
Week 1: 7:00am to 3:00pm
Week 2: 10:00am to 6:00pm
Start Date: ASAPResponsibilities: As a School Caretaker, you will play a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and functional environment for our students, staff, and visitors. Your responsibilities will include:

Opening and closing the school premises promptly and securely
Conducting regular inspections to identify and address maintenance issues
Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance tasks
Managing security and ensuring the premises are secure at all times
Setting up rooms and equipment for events and activities
Overseeing health and safety procedures, including fire drills and risk assessments
Maintaining inventory and ordering necessary supplies
Liaising with contractors and overseeing their work on siteRequirements:

Previous experience in a caretaker or maintenance role, preferably in an educational setting
Strong practical and DIY skills
Ability to carry out basic repairs and maintenance tasks
Excellent organisational and time management abilities
Proactive and self-motivated with a keen eye for detail
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Understanding of health and safety regulations
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
