What does the role involve?
Our client is consistently growing, taking on new customers daily. In the role of Office Agent, you will be part of a wider team whose main goal is to ensure the achievement of the operational performance against all airline SLA's is delivered. Working at London Gatwick you'll be working in one of countries largest fast moving cargo operations there is.
Responsibilities
The main responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
Processing of import and export operations for multiple airline customers.
Using Customer operating systems to complete export and import flights
Booking in / serving drivers from freight forwarders / airlines / trucking companies at Reception
Ensuring all Customs and CAA regulations are adhered to.
Dealing with customer queries regarding their shipments
Report any internal or customer issues to the Office Supervisor.
Ensuring processing of flights are kept within timings of Customer airlines Service Level agreements
Dangerous Goods checks as and when Dangerous Goods certification (Cat 6) is achieved.
Other ad hoc administrative tasks that are required on a day-to-day basis
Role specifics:
Location: Gatwick
Shifts: 4 on 4 off shift pattern consisting of 2 days (06:00 - 18:00) & 2 nights (18:00 - 06:00) then 4 off - 1.25 hour per shift of unpaid break.
Pay Rate: Earlies - £14.00 per hour (06:00 - 14:00).
Lates - £15.00 per hour (14:00-22:00).
Nights - £16.50 per hour (22:00 - 06:00)
Overtime 125% of hourly pay (shift dependant)
Contract: Ongoing full-time position with the potential of going permanent
Start Date: ASAP
Requirements:
To ensure all staff get to the depot safely it is requirement of our clients for you to have a full UK driving licence to go forwards for this role.
Must have had working experience in the UK cargo handling business for both imports and exports.
Experience processing flights for airline customers
Must be able to work part of a team aswell as being able to work independently showing flexibility and initiative
Able to demonstrate strong customer service and problem resolution skills.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to use a computer proficiently - with experience and knowledge of working in excel and Outlook.
Cargo Spot experience is highly desirable.
Must be able to provide 5-year full working history and eligibility to work in the UK, for referencing and Criminal Record Checks (CRC) vetting. Benefits of working with Manpower:
