The Role and School

As a dedicated Teaching assistant, you will be working in a role involving support in the classroom, across the full range of the curriculum.  This will also include some individual specialist work on a 1:1 or small group basis. Preparing braille, large print and audio materials for visually impaired students is also part of the role and so excellent ICT skills are essential. Full training in the modification of resources will be given.

An understanding of a wide range of SEND needs is required for this role.

The ability to offer a creative and engaging outlook on learning and the wider school curriculum.

Desirable Requirements

Have experience supporting Secondary Aged Children.
Have a genuine desire to work and assist pupils in a SEND setting.
Recent (within 2 years) relevant referenceable experience working with children.
Have a passion for education and an interest in taking a teaching or support route.
