An agricultural business based in Malton is currently recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their Finance Team. The successful Accounts Payable Clerk will receive a competitive salary of circa £25,000 based on experience, as well as 30 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays) and a study package, should the individual be looking for this. As Accounts Payable Clerk you will be responsible for the processing of invoices, reconciling supplier statements and resolving any discrepancies, alongside various other responsibilities and supporting the wider Finance Team.

Key responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk will include:

Processing, matching and coding invoices and credit notes
Reconciliation of supplier statements
Processing supplier payment runs
Communicating with the wider Team to ensure invoices can be paid promptly
Dealing effectively and efficiently with supplier queries
Bank reconciliations
Supporting other colleagues in the Finance Team as appropriate
Other ad hoc duties as requiredI would be keen to speak with individuals who are currently in a high volume Purchase Ledger, Accounts Payable, Sales Ledger or Accounts Receivable role looking for a new opportunity. You may also be an Accounts Assistant, Finance Assistant, Finance Officer or Accounts Admin who is looking for a new challenge in a purely Purchase Ledger based role and is keen to progress and develop your skill set further.

To be successful in this Accounts Payable Clerk opportunity you must:

Ideally have previous experience in a similar finance position, working within a busy Finance Team
Or, hold or be studying your AAT Level 3 or Level 4 and be seeking a role in accountancy, with transferable experience
Have a resilient and dynamic attitude, with a good work ethic and eager to do a hands-on Purchase Ledger role
Be a confident communicator and effective team player
Have strong attention to detail and the ability to work to strict deadlines
Have knowledge of using accountancy software such as Xero, Sage etc. with the capability to be able to learn new systems and processes quicklyThis role is easily commutable via car from Scarborough, Malton, Pickering, Settrington, Rillington, Norton, Amotherby, York and surrounding areas and offers free parking on-site.
