The company is currently undergoing a period of sustained growth and requires a Paint Team Leader with previous experience in Industrial Paint. You will be an important part of the team helping to continue the growth of the business. Our client is an established UK manufacturer of a range of industrial paints and coatings.
Duties of a Paint Team Leader
Measuring raw materials, blending, mixing, and utilizing horizontal and vertical basket bead mills to produce paints in an environment.
Quality control procedures.
Colour matching using instrumentation and by eye.
Implement quality control procedures to ensure standards are met.
Mentor and train apprentices.
To ensure that work is carried out in a timely manner.
Liaise with customers and provide support.
Skills and experience of a Paint Team Leader
Experience in the production of paints is essential – ideally industrial paints. Must have hands-on experience with dispersion and milling equipment.
Experience with viscosity measurements and testing of paints.
Experience in colour matching by eye and using instrumentation would be preferable.
Ability to mentor and train junior staff.
Ability to lift heavy raw materials on a consistent basis.
Ability to build and maintain the formulation database in the system.
Good numeracy and literacy are essential for this role.
Knowledge of health and safety.
It would be beneficial to the Paint Team Leader role if you also had
Work to high standards.
Experience in producing safety data sheets.
Good communication skills, written and verbal English.
Access to reliable transport. The client’s site is accessible via car, public transport, walking or cycling.
