Telephone Sales Executive (B2B)

Role Summary

The main job function is outlined below. The employee is required to perform such other duties as the Company may require from time to time and which are in the reasonable opinion of the Company appropriate to and consistent with the position. 

- Responsible for identifying and generating new opportunities with potential customers

- Responsible for prospecting activity through cold calling, following up warm inbound enquiries, LinkedIn activity and following up marketing email campaigns and initiatives, with the aim of establishing a discovery call and software demonstration

- The TE will build trust, confidence and a relationship with potential customers, providing the appropriate information on our client's software capabilities and track record supporting other customers in the relevant sector

- The TE seeks to gain an understanding of the customer business, needs and challenges that will be summarised in a briefing document for respective colleagues  

Key Working Relationships

Acts as a main contact for all prospect client interactions, working closely with the wider Business Development team and the Professional Services team for presales support

Main Responsibilities and Process Management

o    Researching business, individuals and industry trends to identify potential new customers

o    Contacting potential new customers using phone, email and LinkedIn to gauge interest in our client's product and services 

o    Answer questions about our client's offering and make relevance to similar sites that are in our current portfolio

o    Generate discovery calls and software demonstration appointments for the wider Business Development team 

o    Maintain a list of potential leads and follow up regularly or to agreed timeframes 

o    Provide sales materials and follow up emails 

o    Keep records of activity, sales pipeline, and prospect customer interaction on the CRM system 

o    Maintain working knowledge of products and services and any other relevant company news that may be beneficial to your role 

o    Attend sector conference events and exhibitions with a view of generating leads with potential customers

Measures of Success

A successful employee in this role will demonstrate their success through the following KPIs.

1.    Achieve weekly call targets 

2.    Generate and book agreed number of discovery calls and software demonstrations

Personal specification

In order to be successful in this role the individual will be able to demonstrate the following skills, knowledge and experience

o    Proven experience in Telesales or similar role 

o    Excel at communicating in person, over the phone, via email and across internal teams and be comfortable addressing broad range of contacts up to and including C-suite executives 

o    The ability to conduct a business conversation, allowing an understanding and appreciation of the prospects business, challenges, and goals

o    Target driven

o    Self-motivated and well organised 

o    Highly motived and able to work in a fast-paced environment 

o    Communicate the value of our client's offerings both strategically and financially to customers

o    Have excellent MS Office skills

Hours of work 22.5 per week - Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (office based).  As the hours could be flexible, this might suit someone who wants to work Mon - Friday school hours (Mon & Fri WFH)
