Role and Responsibilities:

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will have a pivotal role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. Your responsibilities will include:

Collaborating closely with the teaching staff to implement effective behaviour management strategies.
Providing tailored one-on-one support to students facing behavioural challenges, promoting positive behaviours and self-regulation.
Working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other support staff to develop individualised behaviour plans and intervention strategies.
Fostering a safe, nurturing, and inclusive atmosphere that promotes positive relationships among students.
Organising and facilitating structured activities and group work to enhance social skills and emotional intelligence.
Monitoring and documenting students behavioural progress, providing regular feedback to the class teacher and relevant stakeholders.
Assisting in the implementation of reward systems and promoting positive reinforcement techniques.
Supporting students during transitional periods, ensuring their seamless integration into the school community.Qualifications and Skills:

To excel in this role, we seek candidates with the following qualifications and skills:

Previous experience working with children, ideally in a behaviour support or similar role.
Compassion and patience when dealing with challenging behaviours.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to establish positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
Proactive approach in identifying and addressing behavioural issues.
Strong organisational abilities, including effective multitasking and time management.
Familiarity with behaviour management techniques, as well as a willingness to learn and implement new strategies.
