Their expertise lies within the field of Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), 5G and LiDAR. This company aims to enable smart cities and smart infrastructures to become more efficient, safe and greener by building environmental sensors, networks and data solutions.

The company is based in Swansea, and offers hybrid working (depending on projects, but usually 1-2 home days per week).

The role 💻

Generate product solutions based on specified requirements.
Conduct initial cost analysis aligned project timelines.
Develop designs that facilitate effective cable management.
Utilise experience in Design for Manufacturability (DFM) for plastic, sheet metal, and machined components.
Manage the entire product testing program until completion.
Collaborate with external entities for the rapid prototyping and manufacturing of R&D samples.
Coordinate with external suppliers to provide technical support during the initial setup of production processes.The person 😃

Experienced defining and developing a product from scratch.
Experienced using 3D CAD, preferably Solidworks
Strong design communication skills
Experienced using PDM systems
