Services business based in Manchester City Centre requires a Finance Manager for their growing business.

Reporting to the Finance Director this role is working in a developing and growing team and really is an excellent time to join this business.

They are looking for an ambitious and hard-working individual who is looking to take on responsibility for day-to-day running of the Finance department. The role will require a confident individual who will work with the support of the team to deliver key financial information, implement finance policies, procedures and governance controls across the group.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

* Produce and oversee production of management accounts including P&L, balance sheet and cashflow

* Preparation of monthly finance pack with supporting commentary and variance analysis

* Balance sheet reconciliations

* Posting of month-end and year-end journals

* Budgeting and forecasting

* Review spending against budgets, identifying overspend and advising on corrective actions

* Weekly cash-flow reporting/forecasting and variance analysis

* Quarterly group VAT submissions

* Production of monthly payroll file for submission to external payroll provider

* Management and development of two finance assistants who support with the month-end processes

* Facilitate external relationships with banking, accounting, HMRC and external advisor

Experience and skills required

* Qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA)

* Experience of managing a finance team

* Adherence to strict reporting deadlines

* Strong Excel skills

* Experience in property or construction would be a benefit
