Hybrid working FPGA Development position with a high precision medical imaging company. You will play a vital role in the creation and upkeep of FPGA firmware. The client specialise in a diverse range of products, including medical imaging equipment, CMOS image sensors, and custom solutions built through bespoke imaging sensor technology.

Senior FPGA Developer Role 

You will be joining a small and specialised global team working on next generation technology gaining experience working with high precision instrumentation and state of the art medical scanning equipment. The client are fine with three days per week working from home and two onsite at the innovation centre. 

Senior FPGA Developer Skills

Hold a BSc/MSc or an equivalent degree in electronic or electrical engineering, systems engineering, or a related field.
Possess a minimum of 5 years' experience in the electronics industry, specifically in roles involving testing, design, research, or applications.
Proficient in VHDL coding and verification, utilizing Vivado and ModelSim.
Familiarity with the entire firmware project lifecycle, from requirements gathering to design implementation and final release.
Skilled in component-level and board-level debugging.
Experienced in V&V (Verification and Validation), including testbench design and documentation.
Competent in integrating third-party IP into designs.
Proficient in configuration management using Git or SVN.
Well-versed in trunk-based development, facilitating code reuse across multiple product variations.
Knowledgeable in scripting languages such as Tcl.
Senior FPGA Developer Preferred Experience:

Familiarity with image sensors or  data acquisition.
Exposure to embedded developments 
Proficiency in C, C++, or Python.
Understanding of SystemVerilog.
Experience with image processing and analysis software, such as Matlab and ImageJ.
Knowledge of Atlassian, Jira or Confluence.
Familiarity with data protocols 
Previous involvement with imaging or medical devices,
Senior FPGA Developer Responsibilities:

Developing VHDL firmware for FPGA applications in a high precision enviroment.
Establish and maintain IP libraries and databases.
Possess deep knowledge image CMOS sensors.
Reverse-engineer legacy designs and recreate their functionalities.
Collaborate with the R&D team to address customer issues and incorporate new feature requests.
