Job Description:
I am currently seeking a full-time mechanic/fitter with expertise in PSV or HGV to join my client's team. Your primary responsibility will be to maintain and repair their fleet of coaches and light commercial vans.

Your main duties will include:
Conducting vehicle servicing according to company policy
Performing Periodic Maintenance Inspections and repairs in compliance with company and DVSA standards
Preparing and presenting vehicles for MOTs
Diagnosing vehicle faults and determining the appropriate repair methods, ensuring warranty claims align with terms
Completing paperwork accurately and maintaining records promptly
Maintaining good housekeeping practices, including workshop tidiness and proper storage of tools and equipment
Responding to on-road vehicle breakdowns
Conducting road testing when necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or evaluate remedial repairs
Adhering to Health and Safety policies and guidelines
Following safe working practicesExperience and Qualifications:
Hold a Level 3 NVQ in PSV or HGV maintenance, repair, and diagnostics, or equivalent
Possess a minimum of 5 years of industry experience in mechanical and electrical systems
A PSV license would be desirable, but not essential
Welding experience is also desirable
Have a strong understanding of the Health and Safety at Work Act
Ability to work independently, use initiative, stay focused, and maintain a "can do" attitudeRemuneration and Working Hours:
Full-time position, working 40-45 hours per week (including breaks)
