Maintenance Supervisor
£50,000 to £55,000 per annum based on experience
Full Time, Permanent opportunity
Based in Glasgow

Pertemps are pleased to be working with an extremely well-established client. They are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join their team. The successful candidate will organise and control all Engineering activities to ensure plant reliability, a safe place of work and an orderly and well-maintained environment. The scope of the objective covers Civil, Mechanical, Electrical and Instrumentation disciplines.

Maintenance Supervisor Principal Responsibilities
Ensure all plant on site is regularly maintained, Provide defect maintenance service
Maintain safe working practices, including strict control of Permit to Work System
Control of Costs, maximise productivity
Provide major input into the resolution of plant problems
Involvement in accident investigation and reporting to enhance ability to prevent recurrence
Departmental safety responsibilities
Engage and control of Contractors
Visible demonstrate that SHEQ will not be compromised
Lead local SHEQ and Business Improvement Teams
Strive for improvement in all operations at Glasgow
Required Qualifications/Experience
City & Guilds equivalent time served in Mechanical, Electrical or Instrument disciplines
IOSH Safety Management (preferable but not essential)
Knowledge of standard covering plant maintenance and SHEQ
Knowledge of relevant computer systems and software
Experience of man-management. Good communication skills
Knowledge of appropriate regulatory and legislative requirements to the role
Significant experience of plant maintenance and cylinder filling operations
