An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Business Partner for our Public Sector client based out of Peterborough. If you want to work for an organisation with strong values and who offers remote working, then this exceptional opportunity is for you.

Role Purpose:

To provide an effective finance business partnering service to budget managers and directors, understanding their needs and cost drivers, influencing, challenging and supporting decision-making
Leading the budget setting and monthly forecasting process assisting the production of the monthly management reports and support the Assistant Director with the year-end reporting
Proactively monitor business performance, highlight risks ensuring that the Director of Finance is immediately aware of emerging issues

Key responsibilities for the Senior Finance Business Partner:

To lead the financial decision-making support and analysis for operations whilst working with the budget managers and directors of these areas
Responsible for producing accurate, timely and insightful financial and non-financial reports and financial analysis
Delivering financial support for strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting whilst preparing and challenging business cases, and in understanding monthly results
To provide expert finance business partnering with budget holders and stakeholders for operations and corporate services directorates
Act as a key point of contact to the business for financial queries. Proactively resolve issues in a timely and professional manner

Key skills required for the Senior Finance Business Partner:

Qualified Accountant
Strong understanding of management and finance accountants
Experience in managing professional relationships with budget holders
Able to clearly explain and present technical financial information
