An automotive design consultancy specialising in low-carbon vehicle engineering and technology are currently seeking a Technical Specialist – Battery Systems Engineer. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership and subject matter expertise for the team.
 
The Technical Specialist – Battery Systems Engineer will:

Assist with the management and leadership of the battery systems team in delivering system work products as per the system process.
Ensure quality of system deliverables in accordance with company standards
Help create system processes and delivery of work packets in accordance with ASPICE, Safety and other industry standards. Provide guidance to the team in this respect.
Liaise directly with customers, suppliers, and TPS staff at all levels to ensure full derivation of battery system requirements and satisfy TPS technical and project delivery needs.
Work with design engineers, suppliers and build technicians to realize prototype hardware and test it in line with the V&V plan (including MiL, HiL and field testing as appropriate)  
The Technical Specialist – Battery Systems Engineer will have:

Ability to produce original innovative cost-effective design solutions.
A sound understanding of engineering, physics and applied mathematics and their application to solving real world problems.
A degree or similar qualification in an engineering discipline
A minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience
Experience working on hybrid or electric vehicle subsystems and components e.g., battery systems, inverters, DC/DC converters etc.
Willingness to take on roles, responsibilities and challenges required to achieve company goals and objectives.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
