Behaviour Support Workers and Learning Support Assistants required in Leeds!

Maze Recruitment Group is working with a range of clients in the Leeds area and are actively recruiting for experienced Behaviour Support Workers (BSW) and Learning Support Workers (LSW) to undertake long term and short term placements.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in SEND departments, Pupil Referral Units or other alternative facilities. A Team Teach or Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable however experience of working with EBO and challenging students is necessary.

The positions will require the candidate to work with students on a one to one and small group basis, providing the necessary support for the class teacher. Age groups can differ from Primary to Secondary age.

The students have been identified with Emotional, Social, Behavioural or Mental Health issues known either as BESD, EBD or SEMH. Some students may also have a Moderate Learning Difficulties such as Autism, ASD, ADHD or OCD.

The successful applicants must be patient, resilient and empathetic to each of the student's individual needs. They will be required to keep behaviour under control whilst assisting staff in educating and nurturing each and every pupil.
