Introduction

Astute Technical Recruitment are currently looking for a DCS/C&I Engineer to join the Engineering Department of a CCGT Power Station in Kings Lynn, Norfolk.

As the DCS/C&I Engineer, you will be providing expert technical knowledge relating to specific systems to the Operations and Maintenance teams. You will also be supporting the maintenance technicians to ensure maintenance work procedures are carried out effectively to maximise plant reliability and efficiency. The role will also give you exposure to cyber security with the expectation to develop your knowledge around Operations Technology security.

Roles and Responsibilities
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for:

Maintain regular communication and collaboration with the Operational Technology Cyber Security Team
Develop the asset medium-term maintenance budgets for specified plant areas
Develop and maintain OT network and information security compliance requirements as per the business strategy.
Management of the DCS Systems along with PLC and HMI systems on site
Identify, develop and implement projects and modifications relating to C&I/DCS
Process control improvements using modelling tools and hands-on methods
Support the Operations and Maintenance Engineering with day-to-day issues. Full spec can be sent upon request

Experience and Qualifications

A formal qualification such as a Degree/HND/HNC in a relevant engineering discipline
Good knowledge of C&I/DCS equipment in a process plant environment which can include Power Generation (CCGT, EfW, Biomass, CHP, etc), Paper Mill, Refinery, Steel, etc.
Engineering/Maintenance experience working with protections systems, switchgear, transformers, etc.
Experience working with Operational Technology Security will be highly advantageous but not a necessity.
Full UK Driving licence as you may need to travel to other sites from time-to-time
