Supply Chain Manager

Managing a small production planning team this role is responsible for overseeing a busy production schedule; minimising machine downtime and change-overs to optimise production capacity, and liaising with transport to ensure goods reach our customers within agreed service levels.

Key job requirements 

Create and clearly communicate production schedules to key areas of the business
Have a deep understanding of the manufacturing capacity of multiple machines to ensure production outputs are maximised daily
Be able to prioritise according to customer requirements, commercial agreements, and fluctuations in machine performances
Produce daily and monthly performance reports on production, despatch and delivery data
Liaise with sister sites to manage offloading and transfers of production volume
Active participation in site management discussions focusing on budgets, strategy and customer expectations

Key skills & characteristics

Strong analytical skills

Ability to manage multiple and changing priorities

Comfortable working within a manufacturing environment and with all colleagues across the site

Computer literate (we do use some specific scheduling and operational software for which training can be provided if necessary)

Ability to stay calm under pressure
