Site Manager - School Refurbishment Project (6-month Contract) - Site Location: Andover
Are you an experienced and highly skilled Site Manager seeking a new challenge? We are currently working with our client, a reputable construction company based in Romsey, who is embarking on an exciting school refurbishment project. They are looking for a dedicated Site Manager to oversee and coordinate all aspects of the project, ensuring its successful completion within the allocated time frame.
Contract Duration: 6 months (with potential for extension)
Salary Range: £40,000 - £60,000 per annum, commensurate with experience
Site Manager's key responsibilities:
* Take charge of the overall management and supervision of the school refurbishment project, from initiation to final handover.
* Regular meetings with the Construction Director to review progress on site
* Monitor progress and ensure that the project remains on schedule and within budget, making necessary. adjustments as required
* Implement and enforce stringent health and safety protocols to guarantee a safe working environment for all personnel on site.
* Manage the procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractors, ensuring cost-effective solutions without compromising on quality.
* Provide leadership and guidance to the project team, promoting a collaborative and productive work environment.
* Prepare regular progress reports, highlight any issues or risks, and propose effective solutions to address them.
* Conduct regular site inspections and audits to identify and resolve any potential issues or deviations from the project plan.
Site Manager's Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Site Manager, specifically in overseeing construction or refurbishment projects.
* Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, building codes, and regulations.
* Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
* Ability to lead and motivate a diverse team, fostering a positive work environment.
* Sound problem-solving skills and the ability to make informed decisions under pressure.
* Relevant certifications (e.G., SMSTS, CSCS)
