Regional Finance Director UK&I

Our client is a specialist manufacturer and global market leader, with staffing at the heart of their ongoing growth and success, currently looking to recruit a Regional Finance Director UK&I to join their already talented senior team.

The role

Working closely with the VP of Finance and Regional MD, this role forms part of the senior leadership team and is responsible for overseeing all financial operations within the region. The role also requires you to lead the development and delivery of a performance strategy, improving the control environment, executing reorganisation projects and future M&A activity.

Whilst this a home-based role, it will require travel across the UK&I locations.

Key Responsibilities:

Become a key Business Partner for the Region, its MD and for the Finance Organisation to support the development and implementation of strategies and plans to achieve the Region’s goals.

Co-lead and support the acceleration of the ongoing Business transformation of the region.

Assessing, managing, and developing finance staff in the region.

Lead the FP&A area securing timely/accurate financial reporting related to overall P&L and B/S finance performance, Budgets, Forecasts, Cash, Working Capital, ad hoc analysis, etc.

Oversee the preparation of capital expenditure (CAPEX) proposals within the region.

Lead the existing UK & Ireland Shared Service Team (SCC) in charge of the transactional accounting.

Own and secure adherence to all Compliance matters in terms of Internal and External reporting, Internal controls, Group policies and requirements, etc.

Support in the assessment of current Systems and processes and where previous experience of ERP implementation highly valuable (ie. Radius or MS Dynamics) is desirable.

Support the Region’s M&A strategy as a member of a due diligence and/or integration team.

Skills/Experience:

Experience gained in a multi-site, multi-currency, manufacturing business.

Proven leadership ability including transforming a finance function.

Commercially minded, leading commercial change and supporting a business during its next phase of growth.

Develop effective relationships and build a positive collaborative environment across the region.

An ability to communicate and manage relationships remotely.

Contribution to the development of an organisation’s growth strategy through effective development of business relationships.

Strong management accounting skills to monitor KPIs

Proficient in financial software and systems and experience of a new system implementation is desirable.
