Electrical Design Engineer

THE COMPANY:

The company are an established firm specialising in the surveying and design of Building Services Projects. They cover engineering and construction management services, from concept and feasibility studies through all stages of design, tender review, to site supervision, project management, cost control, commissioning and beyond. The company’s reputation within the industry has been built upon providing an uncomplicated and uncompromising professional service to clients, achieving targets on time and to budget, with the same high level of commitment whatever the size of project. They are now looking to take on an Electrical Design Engineer for their Northampton office.

THE ROLE:

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will be expected to complete design specifications and drawings for electrical systems on a variety of different sized projects. Such systems include: Fire, Lighting, Security and Access Control. Types of projects include: Healthcare, Education, Student Accommodation, Commercial & Industrial, Retail, and more. Typical values of projects are up to £8M.

THE CANDIDATE:

A suitable candidate should have at least 3-5 years’ experience in a Building Services Electrical Design role. You should have experience using Building services design packages and previously designed systems as mentioned above. Experience working on projects across various sectors as above. Candidates with knowledge of AutoCAD/ REVIT; and have a desire to learn to further their career would suit the company well.
