What will you be doing as an HR and Training Coordinator?
Reporting to and supported by a Senior HR Advisor you will be providing stand alone HR, recruitment and training support for the manufacturing site, dealing with a mixture of both white and blue collar staff. Along with providing day to day HR advice you will also be key in the set up and coordination of a new training academy. Duties will include:
In conjunction with central HR support from senior HR advisor , working closely with line managers providing them with general guidance, coaching and support on the full range of HR activities
Supporting and recording investigations, disciplinary and grievance matters in conjunction with the relevant line manager, escalating complex cases to the Senior HR Advisor.
Supporting line managers to ensure employees are managed in line with the absence procedure, escalating complex cases to Senior HR Advisor
Supporting and implementing key L+D projects, acting as a first point of contact for training queries.
Managing changes to training arrangements.
Ensuring accurate recording and maintenance of training registers and certificates
Monitoring training KPIs and make recommendations to management where action is required.
Supporting the development of management capability to deliver effective core people skills
Supporting succession planning activities and development activities in conjunction with department managers.
Co-ordinating recruitment activities, including creation of placement of job specs and adverts, and liaising with recruitment agencies
Shortlisting CV's and liaising with managers booking and assisting with interviews as needed
Dealing with new starter administration including offer letters and contracts along with all new starter documents
Co-ordinating, attending and delivery of new starter inductions.
Maintaining and updating recruitment guides and resources for managers
Maintaining, updating and amending HR records and training records for new and existing staff
Keeping up to date with legal developments and advising management on compliance and risk factors
Maintenance of the WN Hub Intranet, uploading documents and HR content when required.
Carrying out exit interviews and providing feedback to relevant departments
We would LOVE to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:
Good experience in a similar HR Coordinator or HR Advisor role
Experience in other areas such as training development and delivery and recruitment processes would definitely be beneficial but is not essential
Experience managing absence would be beneficial
Upbeat and outgoing character
The ability to build strong relationships.
Comfortable working with MS Word, Excel and email along with Teams and Zoom
Confident with the ability to deal with people on all levels
Someone who is ideally studying towards or qualified CIPD level 5
Due to the office location and the possible occasional need to visit other sites, you will need your own transport
