The Job

Working in a distribution/logistics environment your primary role will be to ensure the security and safety of people and client assets while delivering exceptional customer service. The role involves security officer responsibilities and duties to include gatehouse, patrols, access and egress control, vehicle searches.

You will be an ambassador of the Company and Client to the public and employees therefore this role demands professional approach dealing with all security related issues in a calm professional manner.

Main Duties:

* Be vigilant, ensuring safe and secure environment.

* Ensuring safety and security of our clients’ building and assets by carrying out all duties in full adherence of site Assignment Instructions

* Writing complete and accurate Incident Reports and taking appropriate action as required on all reports

* Working as part of the customers team to deliver excellent security and customer service

* Liaising with emergency services and other third-party organisations

* Patrols, locking and unlocking premises, gatehouse, person & vehicle searches, access & egress

* Build professional relationships with clients by being friendly and effective in your role

Deterring theft and anti-social behaviour

To apply for the Security Officer role you will require the following:

* Hold a current and valid SIA Licence in an appropriate sector

* Be of smart and professional appearance

* Be an excellent communicator

* Have a flexible approach to working

* Be responsible and trustworthy

* Have a minimum of 1 year experience in a Security role

* A full UK Driving licence would be advantageous but is not essential
