Working for one of the fastest growing designers, developers and manufacturers of electric motors, as a Mechanical Technician you will deliver all in house mechanical works, for both development and integration projects. This will include fitting of mechanical elements within projects, mechanical machining, fabrication, and supporting the quality process.
Working in a modern, cutting-edge facility where innovation and clean energy drives everything, you will be an integral member of the mechanical team. Responsibilities will include:
Building small batch prototype assemblies, fixtures and tooling.
Performing mechanical tear down, route cause investigation and failure analysis.
Performing first article inspection of manufactured and purchased parts using metrology and inspection equipment.
Using 3D printers to produce components.
Ensuring equipment used is maintained by completing preventive maintenance requirements.
Hold an HNC/HND in a relevant mechanical engineering discipline and have a strong mathematical background.
Exceptional attention to detail and capable of maintaining high standards even under pressure, produces accurate results.
Excellent understanding of tooling and material properties within machining and assembly applications
Previous experience using CAD/CAM would be advantageous
