As a business that is already well established within the UK Infrastructure market, NGE have worked on a number of the UK's most prestigious Major Projects and Alliance Partnerships in the last few years (inc' HS1, HS2, Crossrail, CRSA and Optical Fibre Deployment).

Together we are seeing continual growth, with a pipeline of existing and tendered projects and Alliances.

To support this growth and the development, we are looking for either a Managing Quantity Surveyor or an experienced and ambitious Senior Quantity Surveyor, to head up a regional portfolio of contracts, based out of our Cambridge Office.

As the Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will report directly into the Operations Director and Project Director, and liaise with main Stakeholders within the business and clients, including; head office commercial team, finance team, project commercial team, Project Managers and their project teams.

As the ideal candidate you will have demonstratable commercial experience of:

Working for a Tier 1 contractor on infrastructure projects.
Managing project values of £5-7m per year.
Managing NEC3/NEC4 Service contracts and Rate Card re-measurable forms.
CVR reporting experience to the Director level .
Budgetary control and resource allocation procedures.
Cost control and relationships with finance.
EOT claims knowledge.
Ability to lead a team but not afraid to own the detail.(further detailed Job Role can be provided)

Qualifications and Skills:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in quantity surveying or commercial management, accredited by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
Strong knowledge of the NEC suite of contracts in particular NEC 3 / 4 and all Options.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications in particular Excel (formulas, Pivot Tables, Graphs etc.).
8 years quantity surveying
Excellent English language skills (written and spoken).
Proven ability to lead and mentor a commercial team.
Solid leadership and team management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Experienced working on infrastructure projects
