One of our SEN schools in the Channel Islands is looking for an outstanding SEN/SEMH General Teacher to join a dedicated team who are committed to breaking down SEMH barriers to learning. This fantastic school caters for children aged 9 to 16 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health Needs, providing them with a positive, safe, vibrant community.
In this exciting full-time supply role, you can combine beautiful surroundings with a rewarding challenge, as you promote learning through well-planned lessons that can be adapted to meet individual needs. You will work closely with two Key Stage 4 students across all subjects, possibly off-site. If you have experience working in an SEMH school, with strong behavioural management skills and a patient approach, this could be the perfect position for you.
This is initially a supply contract for the Autumn term, with the potential to be extended for the right candidate.
You will need:
* QTS
* The right to work in the UK
* Ideally a DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
* Experience teaching in a SEMH school
* Very strong classroom and behavioural management skills
* Ideally be available to start asap.
