Job Title: Structural CAD Technician

Location: Swansea

Salary: £24,000-£37,500

Job Type: Full Time/Permanent

About the role:

Our client is one of Wales' most established independent civil and structural engineering consultancies. They now have an opportunity for an experienced Structural CAD Technician to join their Swansea office working within a small dynamic team to meet demanding schedules on challenging projects. The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience of working within a consultancy practice and you must be fully experienced with AutoCAD.

Responsibilities:

Liaise with Senior Engineer/Management in undertaking development of specific details to complete briefed tasks.
Actively participate in day-to-day prioritising of job-related tasks.
Exercise design and delivery to the highest standards, demonstrating all round technical competence. Requirements:
Educated to HNC/HND level (or equivalent).
Experience as Structural CAD Technician within a UK-based design consultancy.
Experienced with AutoCAD and working knowledge of relevant industry software packages.
Ability to deliver projects through to completion and deliver to agreed deadlines.
Sound technical skills and willingness to learn.
Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
Be proactive in addressing problem issues, presenting and pushing solutions * Strong communication skills both written and verbal
Be able to work well as part of a close-knit design team If you are a team player, modest enough to join a growing team, with strong engineering skills and hands-on approach.A positive attitude and enthusiastic to the successful completion of projects will win you this position.
